Story Elements Influence

In my novel, "The Reckoning, Book 3" by: Kelley Armstrong, the setting makes a big impact on the main character, Chloe Saunders and her 3 friends. They are at a old guy's house named Dr. Banks. They are currently at a "safe house," but the are not safe. "Andrew' is the guy who Chloe and her friends thought was a good guy, but turns out to be a two-faced bad guy. So, they have to escape at night, because they are all in danger. The conflict influences Chloe and her friends a lot because Andrew drugged Chloe's friend Derek. And they can't find Andrew anywhere when Chloe's other friends Tori and Simon were supposed to put a binding spell on him and tie him up. Chloe is a necromancer, Derek is a werewolf, Tori is a witch, and Simon is a sorcerer. Everyone is stressed out and nervous because their plan is falling apart when they should have left their "safe house" already. What complicates more is that Chloe and Derek are having feelings for each other instead of "just friends." Chloe, Derek, Tori, and Simon have to leave and escape before they get taken to their enemy's lab--or killed.
